Philosophy
The most difficult hurdle for me to overcome is being lumped into the typical “Real Estate Agent” stereotype. Many people believe that agents are a commodity, or that they’re all the same! In fact, agents vary widely in skills and services. I often joke with friends about a common story I receive from prospective clients. “My sister-in-law’s hairdresser’s friend’s husband is an agent!” While that person might be a terrific agent, I welcome the opportunity to compete with them for that person’s business.
I do not try to compete for a “top producer” title. I will not simply act as a “transaction manager” who only checks a list for what you want and reviews your paperwork. I am more appropriately titled a “Real Estate Coach / Strategist”. Not only because I love real estate but because the most fulfilling experience to me is meeting a family, couple or individual and helping them craft a game plan to help them achieve their residential goals. I become a close advocate to my clients and help them navigate real estate obstacles based on their needs. Visit my blog for more philosophical insight!
